FAQ

How is tuition handled?
Parents have several options: tuition may be paid in full at the beginning of the year, it may be paid biannually with the first half due at the beginning of the school year and the other half due at the beginning of the 2nd semester, or parents may enroll in autopay on gradelink. The 12 month plan begins deductions in June, the 11 month plan begins in July, and the 10 month plan begins in August. All monthly payment plans end in May.

Is there a dress code?
A student’s dress is an important part of their success. This dress code can be found under the school information tab. 

Are there additional learning opportunities and extra-curricular activities?
Students attend Chapel once a week and each class has an opportunity to conduct Chapel for the rest of the school at least once a year.
Some extra activities offered are: band, soccer, volleyball, basketball, scouts, spelling bee, Bible quiz, science fair, school play, etc.

Are P.E. uniforms required?
No, Students should just wear a shirt and shorts and tennis shoes from home.

Is there physical education, music, and art instruction?
Yes, We offer music classes for k-8th grade with out music teacher. Art and Gym are taught by each classroom teacher. 

Is there a library?
Yes. Kindergarten through 8th grade classes visit our library each week to checkout books, magazines, and videos.

Are computers used?
Second grade through eighth grade are 1:1 with Chromebooks.  Grades K and 1 share a classroom set of iPads.

Is there an extended care program?
Trinity offers childcare to children who are enrolled and who are at least three years of age. The before and after school care program is called Trinity Children’s Care. It is open Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM.
Also, Trinity has a full-day child care ministry for children ages 6 weeks up to 3 years of age. The day care is open Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM. For more information, please call the office at (317) 897-0243.

Is there a hot lunch program?
Hot lunch is served on a daily basis. Students may also bring a cold lunch if they desire. Trinity is a CEP school and all students each breakfast and lunch for free.

Is formal testing done?
The I-LEARN exam is administered in grades three through eight. In addition, grades Kindergarten through 8th grade take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) test.  Students also participate in Accelerated Reading tests and Vimme math tests weekly.

What textbooks are used?
The textbooks for primary subjects are on the state adoption list.  We use the Benchmark advance Reading curriculum and Vimme math curriculum.  The religion classes use classroom materials from Concordia Publishing House.

Are there classroom aides?
All preschool, kindergarten, and first grade classes have an aide. In the primary grades, aides are hired based on enrollment. Trinity also utilizes many volunteers from our congregation.

Are the teachers certified?
All of the teachers are certified teachers; 38% of our teachers hold masters degrees.

What is the maximum size of each class?

Pk-3– 15 students
Pk-4 – 20 students
Kindergarten – 20 students
Grades 1 thru 8 – 20 students

How many classes are there of each grade?
Preschool-8th grades have one class each.

How long is the school day?
-Kindergarten- 8th grade begin each day at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m.
-PK3 hours 8:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

-PK4 hours are 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
