Frequently Asked Questions

Parents have several options; tuition may be paid in full at the beginning of the year, it may be paid biannually with the first half due at the beginning of the school year and the other half due at the beginning of the 2nd semester, or parents may enroll in a tuition management program (FACTS). FACTS automatically deducts monthly tuition payments from either a checking or savings account. The 12 month plan begins deductions in June, the 11 month plan begins in July, and the 10 month plan begins in June. All monthly payment plans end in May.

Yes. A student’s dress is an important part of their success. The dress code for students in grades K-8 is as follows:

    · SHIRT - Shirts are to be colored (pink, white, blue or grey), short or long sleeved polo style shirts. The polo shirt must be plain or it may have the Trinity logo.

    · PANTS - Slacks must be khaki or navy blue (cargo style acceptable).

    · SHORTS - Shorts must be khaki or navy blue (cargo style acceptable). The inseam must be at least 5”.

    · SKIRTS - Skirts must be khaki or navy blue, and must extend to within 5” of the bend in the back of the knee.

    · SHOES - Shoes must have backs.

Clothing must be in good condition - no rips, holes...

Special days may be approved by the principal. Any questions about appropriateness of attire are directed to the principal.

During the school week students attend Spanish class and Sign Language class. They attend Chapel once a week, as well. Each class has an opportunity to conduct Chapel for the rest of the school at least once a year. We are implementing the Olweus anti-bullying program in grades 1-8. Students in grades 1-8 are members of grade level choirs that perform during worship services throughout the school year.

Some extra activities offered are: piano lessons, band, operetta, soccer, volleyball, basketball, scouts, spelling bee, Bible quiz, science fair, etc.

Students in grades six through eight wear uniforms for the physical education classes. P.E. uniforms are available for purchase from the school office.

All of these classes are taught by the classroom teacher.

Yes. Kindergarten through 8th grades classes visit our library each Friday to checkout books, magazines, and videos.

Students use computers in all classes. The computers are used in the classrooms and in the lab. The Computer Lab is networked. The middle school students have access to wireless netbooks in their classrooms.

Trinity offers childcare to children who are enrolled and who are at least three years of age. The before and after school care program is called Trinity Care (T-Care). It is open Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM.

Trinity has a full-day nursery care ministry for children ages 6 weeks up to 3 years of age. The nursery is open Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM. For more information, please the office, 897-0243.

Hot lunch is served on a daily basis. Students may also bring a cold lunch if they desire. Milk is available for purchase.

Trinity participates in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.

The ISTEP+ exam is administered in grades three through eight.

The textbooks for primary subjects are on the state adoption list. The religion classes use classroom materials from Concordia Publishing House.

All preschool and kindergarten classes have an aide. In the primary grades aides are hired based on enrollment. Trinity also utilizes many volunteers from our congregation.

All of the teachers have a degree; 7 of 13 teachers of hold masters degrees.

Presently there are two sessions of Early Learners, two sessions of Pre-kindergarten. Tiny Treasures and Kindergarten-8th grades have one class each.

Grades 1-5 begin each day at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:10 p.m.

Grades 6-8 begin each day at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m.

Kindergarten begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.

The morning Pre-Kindergarten class (4/5 year olds) and the Early Learner classes (3/4 year olds) begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m.

The afternoon Pre-Kindergarten class begins at 12:15 p.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.

There are currently 185 students in preschool through grade eight.
